Science Debate 2008

With the current president's opposition to the scientific evidence for global climate change, comprehensive sex education, and evolution (even though it's been over a century since Darwin), many in the science and medicine community are calling for a presidential debate focusing on science, medicine and technology.

From www.sciencedebate2008.com:
Given the many urgent scientific and technological challenges facing America and the rest of the world, the increasing need for accurate scientific information in political decision making, and the vital role scientific innovation plays in spurring economic growth and competitiveness, we call for a public debate in which the U.S. presidential candidates share their views on the issues of The Environment, Health and Medicine, and Science and Technology Policy.

Thanks for pointing this out! I have never signed an online petition that I feel has had as much of a chance to do something as this does. Now I have to think of the right way to get the word out on this at work.
